We took time on Friday to get out and enjoy the little amount of snow we did get from the 2 day storm that actually brought us more rain than snow. (and another reminder that our basement is still not fixed :-( ) So we took the entire family out for some romping in the white stuff. Kaitlyn really enjoyed the trip and laughed at her brothers (you decide who we're referring to with this plural!) Other than the snow, we've been busy with trips to storytime and Mr Turtle school - the 2 year version of preschool w/ mom. Kaitlyn is making herself known and becoming much more of an active member of the family. She "talks" constantly and James is always asking what she is saying and giggling at all her noises. We're hoping to finally see teeth come thru after many weeks of chomping and drooling (from Kaitlyn that is). If she's anything like big brother, we'll see 'em soon!
we waited...and waited...and waited some more but the great snow never came. I dont think the boys missed it too much, a few inches is all they needed for an afternoon of fun!
The end of January brought us...Kaitlyn giggling, James getting a new hat and new fondness for his sunglasses, lots of time to play, a decision about preschool and the dreaded flooded basement. It also brought lots of weekends home with the family cooking feasts, cozy-ing up by the fire and oodles of laundry. (adding just one more person seems to have added 3xs the amount of laundry. Most likely due to that one little person's ability to spit up what seems to be buckets). Here comes February, longer days and hopefully not too many more cold days, we can't wait for spring!
The twosome laying around together
James taking a break from holding Kaitlyn's hands and trying to stop her from chewing on her shirt. The new hat = the new look Closer look, Bono glasses? James was certain that dad fell down the pipe in the basement once the carpet came out. Here he is calling in desperation for his dad: "Dad!! You down there? I'll go get fireman sam to save you!"
